Game Development Update

The goal on the action plan for the two weeks was to create a game outline to help streamline the production process. It includes all of the different assets and gameplay mechanics that I want to be included in my game.

First, I went online and looked at some of my favorite rogue-likes and used them as a reference point. I create an

outline for what I want my game to look like and play like. I wish to incorporate items and an ability upgrade tree. Due to the inherent complexity and the potential of a large time investment in that mechanic, I have cut down on the amount of playable characters and the amount of enemies that will be trying to end your run.

For the base game, I have created the basic list of items that I wish to incorporate into my game. Additionally to these items, I have added a brief description for what I want the items to do for the player.

Due to the overall simplistic but important game outline, I have started to create assets that are going to be used for the game.

** Work in progress

According to the next deadline, I will continue to create and revise assets for my game. I worry that the other animations for the assets will become a time sink.
